How this all got started...
Carla traded cubicles for camping in 2019. Her mission is to strengthen community by creating a beautiful camping experience where everyone belongs. She hopes that every guest has fun camping and tenting at Camp of the Woods, and that reconnecting with nature makes them feel calm and relaxed.
THE CAMPGROUND
Camp of the Woods was established in 1966 as a place for the immediate community and travelers alike to enjoy the outdoors, gather together, and have fun. Located on 24 acres of frontage on the Rainy River, Camp of the Woods is rich with oak, basswood, and popple trees. Fish for walleye, northern, and bass. Paddle your canoe or kayak (or rent one of ours!). Hop in your boat for a quick trip to Lake of the Woods. Share stories over a campfire. Let your kids discover the excitements of nature. Or relax and read on the riverside beach with a book.
